Montserrat is in for a treat this weekend with three opportunities to hear artists participating in the Montserrat Music Festival (MMF).

According to the Montserrat Arts Council (MAC) the festival concludes today, Friday August 26. Fifty children from across the island have been able to learn music with Julliard-trained musicians.

On Friday evening at 5PM, the students will participate in a recital at the Look Out Primary School auditorium. The event is free and the community is invited to come and enjoy the performances.

On Saturday, the instructors will be at the Brades Arts & Education Centre for an evening of classical music. Then on Sunday 28th, “If Music Be…”, a concert of classical and contemporary renditions featuring the MMF team and some of Montserrat’s talented performers will be held at the Montserrat Cultural Events. Both events cost $20 for adults and $10 for children. Showtime is 7PM.
