The ladies of Sunrise Productions announced Friday that the 2016 Ms. Teen Pageant has been cancelled.
“The circumstances surrounding the cancellation are beyond the control of the members of Sunrise Productions who are committed to producing high quality shows on an annual basis,” the statement said.
Raising sponsorship and finding enough girls for the show were given as reasons that the team has decided to cancel the show.
“Sunrise Productions looks forward to the continued support of all interested in the organisation’s future endeavors as we continue to ‘invest in a culturally bright future’ for youth on Montserrat. We regret any inconvenience caused by the Ms. Teen Pageant’s cancellation and we would like to thank all for the continued interest in the pageant and other programs we do on an annual basis,” the release stated.
